DAILY BIBLE VERSE - PROVERBS 25:11-22

A word fitly spokenis like apples of gold in a setting of silver. Like a gold ring or an ornament of goldis a wise reprover to a listening ear. Like the cold of snow in the time of harvestis a faithful messenger to those who send him;he refreshes the soul of his masters. Like clouds and wind without rainis a man who boasts of a gift he does not give. With patience a ruler may be persuaded, and a soft tongue will break a bone. If you have found honey, eat only enough for you, lest you have your fill of it and vomit it. Let your foot be seldom in your neighbor's house, lest he have his fill of you and hate you. A man who bears false witness against his neighboris like a war club, or a sword, or a sharp arrow. Trusting in a treacherous man in time of troubleis like a bad tooth or a foot that slips. Whoever sings songs to a heavy heartis like one who takes off a garment on a cold day,and like vinegar on soda. If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat,and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you.

DAILY BIBLE VERSE - PROVERBS 24:13-22

My son, eat honey, for it is good, and the drippings of the honeycomb are sweet to your taste. Know that wisdom is such to your soul;if you find it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off. Lie not in wait as a wicked man against the dwelling of the righteous;do no violence to his home; for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity. Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles, lest the Lord see it and be displeased, and turn away his anger from him. Fret not yourself because of evildoers, and be not envious of the wicked, for the evil man has no future;the lamp of the wicked will be put out. My son, fear the Lord and the king, and do not join with those who do otherwise, for disaster will arise suddenly from them, and who knows the ruin that will come from them both?

DAILY BIBLE VERSE - PROVERBS 23:19-35

Hear, my son, and be wise, and direct your heart in the way. Be not among drunkardsor among gluttonous eaters of meat, for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and slumber will clothe them with rags. Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old. Buy truth, and do not sell it;buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding. The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice;he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him. Let your father and mother be glad;let her who bore you rejoice. My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my ways. For a prostitute is a deep pit;an adulteress is a narrow well. She lies in wait like a robberand increases the traitors among mankind. Who has woe? Who has sorrow?Who has strife? Who has complaining?Who has wounds without cause?Who has redness of eyes? Those who tarry long over wine;those who go to try mixed wine. Do not look at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cupand goes down smoothly. In the end it bites like a serpentand stings like an adder. Your eyes will see strange things, and your heart utter perverse things. You will be like one who lies down in the midst of the sea, like one who lies on the top of a mast. "They struck me," you will say, "but I was not hurt;they beat me, but I did not feel it.When shall I awake?I must have another drink."

DAILY BIBLE VERSE - PROVERBS 22:1-6, 15 -21

A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold. The rich and the poor meet together;the Lord is the maker of them all. The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it. The reward for humility and fear of the Lordis riches and honor and life. Thorns and snares are in the way of the crooked;whoever guards his soul will keep far from them. Train up a child in the way he should go;even when he is old he will not depart from it.

DAILY BIBLE VERSE - PROVERBS 21:1-13

The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord;he turns it wherever he will. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart. To do righteousness and justiceis more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. Haughty eyes and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, are sin. The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty. The getting of treasures by a lying tongueis a fleeting vapor and a snare of death. The violence of the wicked will sweep them away, because they refuse to do what is just. The way of the guilty is crooked, but the conduct of the pure is upright. It is better to live in a corner of the housetopthan in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife. The soul of the wicked desires evil;his neighbor finds no mercy in his eyes. When a scoffer is punished, the simple becomes wise;when a wise man is instructed, he gains knowledge. The Righteous One observes the house of the wicked;he throws the wicked down to ruin. Whoever closes his ear to the cry of the poorwill himself call out and not be answered.

DAILY BIBLE VERSE PSALM 77:1-20

To the choirmaster: according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph.I cry aloud to God,aloud to God, and he will hear me. In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord;in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying;my soul refuses to be comforted. When I remember God, I moan;when I meditate, my spirit faints. Selah You hold my eyelids open;I am so troubled that I cannot speak. I consider the days of old,the years long ago. I said, "Let me remember my song in the night;let me meditate in my heart."Then my spirit made a diligent search: "Will the Lord spurn forever, and never again be favorable? Has his steadfast love forever ceased? Are his promises at an end for all time? Has God forgotten to be gracious?Has he in anger shut up his compassion?" Selah Then I said, "I will appeal to this,to the years of the right hand of the Most High." I will remember the deeds of the Lord;yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds. Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God? You are the God who works wonders;you have made known your might among the peoples. You with your arm redeemed your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph. Selah When the waters saw you, O God,when the waters saw you, they were afraid;indeed, the deep trembled. The clouds poured out water;the skies gave forth thunder;your arrows flashed on every side. The crash of your thunder was in the whirlwind;your lightnings lighted up the world;the earth trembled and shook. Your way was through the sea, your path through the great waters;yet your footprints were unseen. You led your people like a flockby the hand of Moses and Aaron.

DAILY BIBLE VERSE - PROVERBS 19:8-17

Whoever gets sense loves his own soul;he who keeps understanding will discover good. A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will perish. It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury, much less for a slave to rule over princes. Good sense makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense. A king's wrath is like the growling of a lion, but his favor is like dew on the grass. A foolish son is ruin to his father, and a wife's quarreling is a continual dripping of rain. House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord. Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep, and an idle person will suffer hunger. Whoever keeps the commandment keeps his life;he who despises his ways will die. Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.

DAILY BIBLE VERSE - PROVERBS 17:3-13

The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the Lord tests hearts. An evildoer listens to wicked lips, and a liar gives ear to a mischievous tongue. Whoever mocks the poor insults his Maker;he who is glad at calamity will not go unpunished. Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their fathers. Fine speech is not becoming to a fool;still less is false speech to a prince. A bribe is like a magic stone in the eyes of the one who gives it;wherever he turns he prospers. Whoever covers an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates close friends. A rebuke goes deeper into a man of understandingthan a hundred blows into a fool. An evil man seeks only rebellion, and a cruel messenger will be sent against him. Let a man meet a she-bear robbed of her cubsrather than a fool in his folly. If anyone returns evil for good, evil will not depart from his house.
