EPHESIANS 6:10-18

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints

Ephesians 6:11 (NIV)

Put on the full armor of God,so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

Roger’s thoughts;

God makes available to every follower of Jesus an armor. Why? Because we are in a battle. We have an armor for protection in this battle and also equipment for fighting in this battle. We are told that the devil wages war against anyone who is on God’s side.

The devil does not want anyone to be in a relationship with God so he fights as hard as he can to stop that from happening.

The devil (Satan) is always on the attack, so we always need to be on our guard. Satan often will strike us at our weakest point, he will tempt us, he will subtly deceive us with half-truths. He will use others to lure us away from being fully committed to God and His ways.

So we need to stay close to God and open ourselves up to all the resources that are at our disposal to fight against evil.

Pray that God will give you the armor so that you are equipped for the battle.

Now of course this is not a physical battle but a spiritual one, and you can not fight and win in your own strength, we need the armor of God.
