One in six people go without clean drinking water. For many in Africa, this means disease and sickness. In fact, over 80% of all disease in the world is caused by unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation. Dirty water is a killer. It kills more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Children are kept out of school either because they are sick or because they must trek long distances to the only water source, which is often dirty.
Fortunately, clean water wells are relatively cheap and simple to dig. They tap into clean underground water. Small Change for Change is distributing water bottles for you to fill with your loose change. It’s an opportunity for you to put the small coins that fill your wallet, purse or car at the end of the week to good use. We give 100% of money raised to our partners Charity Water who dig wells where they are most needed. By filling one bottle with silver coins, you can bring clean water to one child for twenty years.
How Can I Get Involved?
You can take a bottle as an individual or family and fill it and return it to us at any time or your school.
Be a part of the solution. You can make a difference!
If your school, church or organization would like to be a part of Small Change For Change please email or call 8271 6817 to order bottles.

How are we doing?
When SCFC started in 2010 it was hoped that this campaign would continue on it's own, and we are happy to announce this is just the case. Bottles are regularly dropped into the church office and exchanged, and we continue to get enquiries from schools to use SCFC as their term fundraising charity or as part of their school curriculum.
Our initial launch in 2010 saw 3 wells dug in Ethiopia in 2013 and we have now been informed that our fourth well has just been completed in the region of Tigary, Ethiopia. This is fantastic news and we thank everyone who continues to support SCFC.
To follow the progress of these wells just touch the website link below - this will take you to "Small Change Projects' on the Charity Water website. SMILE you are changing lives...
The Malvern Church Council has established a Memorial Garden in the grounds of the church adjacent to its west wall.
It is intended that the memorial site be available to members of the Malvern and Unley congregations, past members and their immediate families.
The Memorial Garden is a history of the Malvern and Unley congregations, an everlasting remembrance within a peaceful, picturesque and compassionate environment; an enduring record of yesterday.
